Meet Mira Trivedi
I founded Trivedi World Travel after a lifetime of exploring and living abroad, often with my own family. Now, I pass on the gift of bond-building travel to other families craving deep connections—to one another, and to the wider world around them.
My Story
I come from a multicultural background; my English-Scotch mother is from Iowa and my father is from India—and so from a very early age I saw how cultural differences could be bridged when you open your mind (and hearts!) to other ways of living.
As a child and young adult, I often made my home far from my “home” in Iowa, including time spent living in Switzerland, Germany, and Ireland. I also traveled often with my parents and siblings and, when I grew a family of my own, my two boys.
When I wasn’t traveling, I was busy taking care of others. I built a career in nursing, where I loved providing comfort to patients during their most vulnerable moments. As my parents aged, I also took on the task of caring for them—though we haven’t let their mobility issues and health needs stop us from continuing to travel together!
Make the most of your time together
While I’ve always had a nurturing nature, caring for my sons, my parents, and my patients was a recipe for burnout. But travel has always been there to fill my cup again. Plus, watching my sons grow up (how does it happen so fast?!) and my parents get older has made it clear just how important our family trips were. We don’t have forever together—and so I try to make the most of the time we do have with amazing shared travel experiences.
Through Trivedi World Travel, I aim to help families do the same. Whether you’re also a part of the “sandwich generation” taking care of growing kids and growing-older parents, you’re a grandparent who wants to leave a special legacy through travel, or you simply want to build bonds with the people who matter most to you—my team and I are here to assist.
